The Folk Arts HUB Foundation has been devoted to the preservation and promotion of traditional Armenian crafts for ten years now. A milestone in this journey is our newest publication — the book titled “Colors of Armenian Tradition.” But this is no ordinary book. It tells a story, teaches, inspires, and invites you to create.

This book was born from years of working with children and adults across Armenian villages and towns. Each carpet in the book is presented with an image, a graphic version to color, and a QR code that opens a door to a deeper story — exploring the origin, symbolism, and weaving technique of each pattern.

In other words, this book is not just read — it’s lived. Each reader, by choosing their own colors, becomes part of the story. It’s yet another way to reconnect with a heritage that has endured through centuries.

By coloring the carpets, readers engage with their roots, connect with the land, their ancestors, and history. Today, more than ever, it’s vital to build bridges between the younger generation and traditional culture. That’s why the book doesn’t merely inform — it involves. It transforms culture into something living and accessible.

With this initiative, we aim to remind everyone that Armenian carpet weaving is not just a craft, but a language through which our identity speaks. And now, through this book, that language can speak through your hands, your children’s creativity, and the memories you create together.

You can find the book at the Silk Road Hotel, as well as at Bookinist, Epigraph, and Zangak bookstores.
